Nico Ferrettini

Nico is an architect and a professional graphic designer. He graduated in Architecture at the University of Florence with a thesis concerning Bioclimatic architecture and is now a member of the Florence Architect Institute.

He steadily works on diverse projects in Italy, in China and in the Middle East. He has founded NFDS Architecture Design Communication, co-founded Ghoti and works as an architect and associate partner with Sani+partner.

He has been working on the designing of schools with a low environmental impact together the group of Prof. Marco Sala, and on the designing of several branches of Banca di Pisa e Fornacette, Banca di Cambiano, Banca di Castagneto Carducci and Cabel together with Arch. Massimo Mariani. He also follows the art direction of Franke Asia and manifold high fashion stores in Asia.

He has been working for the fashion and food sectors, as well as for several companies and professionals, taking care of their image: the designing of their logo and claim, their website, and much more.

He also specializes in the designing of fair booths, which let him combine his passion for communication with his competence in architecture and interior design.

Carlo Eugeni

Carlo graduated in conference interpreting at the University of Bologna (SSLMIT, Forlì) in 2003. After several traineeships at some prestigious international bodies (Court of Justice of the European Union, NATO and European Parliament) and organizations (Emmaus International, Oxfam, Enel, Unicredit, Rai Way), in 2009 he wrote the first Ph.D. thesis on live subtitling through respeaking, a technique he is one of the main European experts and renowned professionals of.

Since 2015, he has been teaching at several Italian universities (Turin, Milan School of Translation and Interpreting, Parma, SSML Pisa, Perugia, University for Foreigners at Perugia, Macerata, Roma Tre) as well as foreign ones (Malaga, Mons, Timisoara).

He has extensively published in the field of interpreting and audiovisual translation and has taken part in European and national projects on deafness and intralingual subtitling.

Last but not least, Carlo is board member of the Italian Academy of Multimedia Writing and Communication (www.respeakingonair.org), the vice president of the International association of Respeaking onA.I.R. (www.accademia-aliprandi.it), vicedirector of the international scientific journal on Communication and linguistic and cultural mediation Co.Me. (www.comejournal.com) and chairman of the Scientific Committee of the International Federation for Information and Communication Processing INTERSTENO (www.intersteno.org).

Giampaolo Benedetti Pearson

He graduated in Law in 2001 at the University of Pisa, admitted to the Italian Bar in 2006 and has been a member of the Bar of Lucca since 2009. Bilingual, with dual nationality, he deals with all English language matters of the Law Firm BBPLegal of which he is co-founder, specialized in the areas of contracts (national and international) and intellectual property (trademarks and patents).

He trained in an international law firm in Bologna and, since 2007, has been acting as legal counsel to a number of primary companies in the fashion and clothing industry. He is also a consultant to several public bodies (Chambers of Commerce and Industrial Unions), special agencies and teacher for various Business Schools located all over Italy and also for the Bar of Lucca.

He regularly holds lectures and training seminars aimed at businesses, with particular reference to various aspects of international trade. He has assisted clients in numerous arbitration and conciliation procedures, both domestic and international, including procedures subject to the UNCITRAL rules.
